Why should only the kids get to enjoy Spring Break? The Silly crew and I decided to take a little spring break of our own after a 10 day business trip across the country. (More to come about that trip later this week.)
Although I would be content simply soaking up the sunshine and sipping champagne at a pool, just steps away from the inlet, eventually a girl has to eat.
Today I’ll share with you a few of our favorite spots that were a must on our little stay-cation. Should you choose to enjoy a stay-cation or a real vacation in Jupiter, FL you will definitely want to visit these places! It doesn't get any better than sitting outside with a drink in your hand, watching the waves crash on the beach and feeling the ocean breeze blow through your hair.
#1 Square Grouper Tiki Bar- The local watering hole, with entry by land or sea. Be sure to get there for happy hour to enjoy live music. They recently broadened the horizons and added food to their menu. The conch fritters are a MUST! Fun fact: Alan Jackson’s music video “It's Five O’clock Somewhere” was filmed here.
#2 Utiki Beach is on the same road as Square Grouper. It is a newer restaurant on the inlet, but has quickly become a beloved favorite! My personal favorite on the menu is the Shaka Shrimp. I have been known to order it for both my appetizer and my meal! During season in South Florida, you should plan to wait but it is well worth it once you get you sit back and take it all in. Pop over to the bar during happy hour between 4-6 for half off wines.
#3 Guanabanas- Hop across the road for a truly tropical experience . Guanabanas menu is full of amazing fresh, locally caught fish, but don’t worry if you aren’t a fan of seafood there is plenty more on the menu. Head down to the dock and you will almost always be able to enjoy a show of paddle boarders and kayakers heading out for adventure. (Excellent source of entertainment)
#4 Dive Bar- I love to come here for lunch on a sunny day and sit at a table outside under an umbrella. The fish dip is amazing and big enough for the whole family. They also have a full sushi menu. After enjoying lunch, there are a couple of cute shops around the corner to visit. Be sure to take a walk down the dock to window shop for your next big boat purchase ;)
I hope you get the opportunity to enjoy these local Jupiter, Florida gems that inspired The Silly Seahorse collection!
